We currently require a Dynamic, Smart and Results oriented individual for our **Technology Operations Manager **position located **Remotely**. We are a national provider of workplace medical testing and assessments based in Ayr, Ontario. We have Occupational Health Clinics in Kitchener, Sarnia, Mississauga, Calgary, Nisku, Edmonton and Fort McMurray. Dedication to customer satisfaction, fast and accurate turnaround of test results, flexibility, persistence and accountability are of the utmost importance.

The **Technology Operations Manager** takes ownership and overarching responsibility of the company’s technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for leading the production support function.

Technology Operations Manager responsibilities include monitoring and resolving issues related to systems, networks, security, data protection regulations, devices, and users. Ultimately, accountable for ensuring that technology systems are secure, consistent, reliable and performant.

Beyond resolving issues, this role requires a proactive approach in maintaining and improving the infrastructure to meet the company’s goals. Continuously optimizing the systems architecture, tools, and processes for deploying new technology while upholding business continuity and preserving data integrity and security.

**Primary duties and responsibilities**:

- Leadership Functions_
- Provide supervision and development opportunities by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment.
- Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations; provide recognition and rewards
- Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives
- Interact with all levels of the staff including Development Manager and Technology Executive to determine infrastructure technology requirements
- Essential Functions_
- Ensure data is handled, transferred, and processed according to legal and company guidelines
- Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers
- Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls, disaster recovery)
- Maintain and optimize company networks, servers, and other digital resources
- Design, develop, and maintain underlying systems and processes required to support software platforms.
- Provide iconic service to users, communicating updates and managing expectations on a timely basis to all stakeholders
- Develop technology policies and practices

**What you need to be successful in the role**:

- A Degree in Computer Science or similar is required
- ITIL Specialist/Strategist, Microsoft 365 and CISSP certifications are considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in software development and/or systems design
- Strong knowledge of cloud providers offering, Microsoft Azure in particular
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cloud (SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, Power platform)
- 3+ years of team management experience (including hiring, performance management, leadership)
- Knowledge of different operating systems; Software maintenance and monitoring tools and techniques
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Detail oriented with accuracy
- Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
