Duties:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the fleet vehicles
- Follow up with drivers to ensure they’re updating their status, and are on-schedule
- Assist with coordinating service of equipment if needed for incidents such as breakdowns or accidents.
- Ensuring all work is accurately entered and managed in the TMS (driver trip progress and closing trips).
- Connect with drivers; ensure they’re following instructions and routes as assigned from day dispatch team.
- Manage and direct all incoming inquiries through the dispatch telephone lines to ensure a clear, efficient flow of information to the appropriate people
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Manage tire service, including rotation, replacement, and repairs.
- Ensure proper placement of trailer pool to support customers’ daily requirements while maintaining costs
- Be the front line contact for drivers regarding scheduling and work availability
- Supervise service technicians and ensure they are properly trained and equipped
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and vendors
- Customer service-oriented mindset to address any concerns or issues promptly

**Salary**: $72,000.00-$96,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON L6H 7G7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
