**FINANCE/HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK**
**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY**

The **FINANCE/HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK** is responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance and HR departments. The Finance/Human Resources Clerk will perform some research activities, data entry, file maintenance and assist in general Finance and Human Resource administrative duties.
**BOOKKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure all supporting documents are attached to financial transactions before payments are issued
- Compile and Process Visa purchases/payments
- Process Purchase Order and Vouchers
- Assist with Bank Reconciliation
- Filing of Accounts Payable and Visa Payments
**HUMAN RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist the HR Officer with Job Postings, coordinating interviews, and performing Reference Checks
- Work with the HR Officer to research Professional Development opportunities for staff and coordinate training sessions
- Assist with updating pension/benefit data for staff and employer
- Assist with editing Job Descriptions
- Participate in Health & Safety Committee
- Record various types leaves accumulated and used for all applicable staff
- Assist with compiling and storing relevant personnel data while ensuring integrity, accuracy and completeness
- Any other duties assigned; commensurate with role

**ACCOUNTABILITY**:
The Finance/Human Resource Clerk is responsible to the Director of Operationsfor implementing their duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.
The Finance/Human Resource Clerk will be accountable to the President for overall work performance according to the Personnel Policies and Procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- A diploma in Office Administration with 1 to 2 years’ experience or 3+ years’ experience working in a Bookkeeping/Human Resource office environment
- A diploma in Business Administration would be considered an asset
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience working with an Indigenous organization considered an asset
- Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree or Cree considered an asset
- Knowledge of employment-related policies
- High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- An understanding of the northern cultural and political environment
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Must be willing to work Flexible hours of work (35 hrs./wk.)
- Must sign Oath of Confidentiality.
- Must have First Aid Level C Certification.
- Must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or medical exemption
**Working Conditions**
The Finance/HR Clerk is based at the Centennial Square location; however, may be reassigned to work across other sites/locations providing the same duties.
