**Customer Service Assistant**

**Location: Edmonton, Alberta**

**Full Time Permanent**

**Job Overview and Responsibilities**:
Provide support to the Customer Service Associates to help maintain and grow Bureau Veritas’ market share with new and existing clients by providing exceptional customer support.

Primary responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to):

- Complete invoicing requirements for all jobs completed in the laboratory
- Initiate client credits
- Initiate analysis cancellations resulting from internal or external changes
- Coordinate and communicate client/internal deadline changes with lab operations team
- Review file entry information (including price, parameters, contact information and client specific needs) to ensure it complies with client and/or regulatory requirements
- Provide break and vacation coverage for receptionist
- May act as a back-up for functions performed by Customer Service Associates
- May assist with training new team members
- May assist with client meetings and/or conference calls to address issues, trouble shooting, invoicing questions and analysis requirements
- Provide support to other related departments or areas as required
- Engage in cross-training/career pathing to support overall success of Customer Service team

**Is there a mutual fit? You ideally have**:

- Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in related field
- Demonstrated success in positions related to Customer Service or Lab Operations
- Knowledge in Sciences - preferably chemistry is considered an asset. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite), experience with invoicing platforms is considered an asset (Open Invoice, Cortex, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with lab operations, Business Development Managers and Customer Service team members
- Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Organized, detail-oriented and focused
- Represents the Bureau Veritas values and is professional at all times

Experience:

- Minimum Education: Certificate in related field (required)
- 1 year in Customer Service or Lab Operations position (required)
- Experience with invoicing platforms, i.e. Open Invoice, Cortex, etc. (Nice to have)
- Experience with Freshdesk would be considered an asset (Nice to have)

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- May require flexible workings hours including overtime and on call
