**Technical Specialist**

The _**Technical Specialist**_ ensures the proper functioning, efficiency and safety of equipment at Groupe Parima.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deal with technical issues and act as a resource person to help solve problems.
- Implement corrective measures such as contacting suppliers for support, coordinating repairs, training and updating documents.Bring ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and safety
- Responsible for technical projects including building renovation projects, purchase of new equipment and installationLead the purchasing process for projects, which includes procurement and negotiation with suppliers
- Prepare budget estimates and reports
- Manage the change control process of its projects
- Responsible for respecting the project schedule and budget
- Monitor and inspect installation, modification and commissioning of facilities

**Skills and experience required**:

- University degree in engineering
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Good knowledge of automated systems
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of packaging equipment and/or pharmaceutical equipment (an asset)
- Knowledge of lean six sigma concepts (an asset)
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Bilingualism required: English and French
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
