**Your Job**
Eco-Tec Inc is seeking a Controller with strong analytical and communication skills to join our team in Pickering, Ontario, Canada This role will be a key partner to the business and lead the Finance team todevelop analysis on drivers of spend, insights into trend and variance analysis, and implement process improvements.

**What You Will Do**
- Lead the month-end closing and review the Balance Sheet and P&L to ensure the financials reflect a true and fair view of the business, free of risks of material errors
- Prepare and update budgeting and forecasting on timely basis
- Responsible for pricing adjustment and standard costing rates maintenance
- Prepare and review general ledger entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure account balances are correct and adequately supported
- Provide oversight for T2 tax filing schedules, Statistics Canada Mandatory reports
- Review labor transactions on timely basis, ensuring labor charges recorded properly, perform labor cost and department expenses analysis
- Actively engage with and develop strong relationships with operations management to better understand and anticipate business needs
- Support the business by facilitating a strong internal financial control environment
- Look to identify, challenge, recommend, and support process improvements, standardization, and optimization
- Bridge financial and operational reporting

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Progressive experience in an accounting, finance or similar leadership role
- Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365; that includes MS Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
- Proficient communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

**What Will Put You Ahead**
- Experience working in manufacturing
- Experience with accounting ERP systems
- Experience with exporting requirements including letters of credit and bank guarantees
- Experience with project accounting and percentage of completion method of revenue recognition
- Experience in Inventory analysis and reconciliation (WIP)
- Enthusiasm for collaboration and building effective working relationships across departments
- Experience providing variance analysis, developing business insights, and bridging between operational and financial reporting
