Your Role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy supporting NWC goals and objectives with a focus on North West’s sustainability efforts, community engagement and social impact program.
- Manage internal and external communications related to corporate responsibility, including media relations, reporting on sustainability efforts, community engagement, and social impact programs.
- Craft compelling messaging and content for various communication channels, including press releases, websites, social media, and corporate responsibility reports.
- Provide strategic communications counsel and support to senior management, including assistance with drafting announcements, memos and speaking notes.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels and platforms.
- Oversee the development and production of communication materials, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with corporate responsibility objectives.
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives related to corporate responsibility, including events, volunteer programs, town halls and sustainability awareness campaigns.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies in a corporate or organizational setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing both internal and external communications, including media relations and employee communications.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insightful counsel to senior management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in crafting compelling messaging.
- Experience in content development and production across various platforms, including digital and traditional media.
- Proficiency in managing communication channels and tools, with a focus on maintaining consistency and maximizing reach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in organizing and facilitating communication sessions and events, with a focus on engaging and informing diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with corporate website management, SharePoint, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of corporate responsibility and sustainability reporting practices.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to coordinate and advise a diverse global team.
