As a** Full-Time Youth Worker **at our youth therapeutic** **program **located in** **Burnaby, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to at-risk youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges. The full-time position available is:

- **3pm-11pm shifts, Sunday-Thursday**

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with at-risk youth
- Youth Services and/or Special Needs experience is an asset
- Experience performing outreach
- Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check (takes up to 6 weeks to process so please plan accordingly)
- Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record or exemption from the provincial health authority
- Valid Driver's License is an asset

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Building positive working relationships with the youth, their families, community members, and other professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
- Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
- Performing outreach as needed
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
- Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
- Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

**Salary**: $22.70-$24.00/hour plus benefits
