*A valid **class 5 driver's license is required**, in addition to a driver's abstract and a copy of the driver's license. Driving is required for this position.

We are hiring for strong Youth Workers to work in a specialized long-term home for youth between 13-19 years old.

This is a casual position offering $25.08 per hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits and paid vacation.

This position requires a focus on harm reduction and a low barrier approach. Must complete training in Naloxone administration and be familiar with current practices and trends.

Must possess or be pursuing post-secondary education in the social science programs or equivalent experience working with children with challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include caring for the youth in a home setting; house cleaning, food preparation, close supervision and building a positive connection with the children.

Must have an ability to write detail progress notes, reports, and complete administrative responsibilities. Strong boundary setting skills and consistency are a significant part of this position.

Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A basic knowledge of computers, apps and some technology are required.

St. Leonard's provides trainings in crisis intervention, drug awareness, and more.

Must be willing to get medical clearance and to agree to an MCFD clearance check and a criminal record check. This process could take 2-6 weeks before orientation may take place.
