The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to enhance our market presence and achieve revenue targets. The role will report directly to the Vice President in Eastern Canada and be part of the leadership team. It will be based in Ontario, Canada with a strong emphasis on growing the Wood business in that market.

**Strategic Planning**:

- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Review Ontario market for growth and potential acquisitions.

**Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Engage in networking activities to expand professional connections and promote the company’s brand.

**Sales and Revenue Growth**:

- Lead sales initiatives to achieve targets and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify potential clients and create tailored proposals.

**Market Research**:

- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities.
- Utilize data analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify risks and opportunities.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with growth and development, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company strategy.
- Facilitate cross-business unit collaboration within Wood to enhance service offerings.

**Performance Tracking**:

- Establish metrics to evaluate business development efforts and report on progress to senior management.
- Monitor industry developments and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in a relevant industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the Ontario market and industry is a required.
- Currently authorized to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
