**Overall Responsibility**
Responsible for providing a consistently high standard of support all staff. Oversees all HR related projects, policies and tasks and provides guidance for HR related inquiries by demonstrating good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and company policies. Maintain high level of integrity and professionalism at all time.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist with the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
- Ensure employee process changes are accurately and properly administered through the HRIS (UKG). Develop and maintain an effective recruitment and selection process
- Effectively manage claims and early return to work process (LTD, STD, WSIB) Coordinate performance review process
- Maintain confidentiality and trust through positive employee relations.
- Provide timely responses to the needs and questions of employees.
- Oversee and assist with Woodstock Fairness Committee and Concord United Steelworker Unions matters
- Oversee the Progressive Discipline process to ensure consistency and provide advice and counseling to management
- Oversee and facilitate employee training, training evaluations, and maintain all training records Coordinate and conduct employee orientation and coordinate employee communications meetings Lead Negotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and in preparation for USWA Arbitration Hearings
- Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.
- Participate in developing departmental goals and objective annually.
- Maintain confidentiality and trust through positive employee relations.
- Assist in creating a culture of fair treatment and positive employee relations.
- Maintain employee personnel files and update information in the HRIS system.
- Complete employee pay and benefit survey information.
- Facilitate the social committee and manage the budget.
- Remain current with legislative requirements & compliance
- Update Job Profiles as required.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of HR legislation and practices in Ontario
- Proficient in HRIS (UKG is an asset)
