**Job Summary**: The Human Resources Generalist assists in coordinating HR programs and tasks. The HR Generalist provides support to the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for advising managers and supervisors in HR practices; providing information to employees regarding policies and procedures; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for company employees ; assist in the development and implementation of employee policies and procedures
- Investigates employee relations issues, complaints, grievances and conflicts in the workplace including appropriate documentation and follow-up. Provides guidance to employees. Makes recommendations for resolution to supervisors and individuals
- Counsel and support Managers on Performance Appraisal issues and recommend strategies for employee development
- Provides generalist support and problem resolution for any EEO, ADA, FMLA or other related regulations and internal policies.
- Participates in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions, Corrective Action Notifications and Termination notices for all subsidiaries.
- Participates in the on-boarding of new employees by conducting New Employee Orientation teleconference and audits new hire packets.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

**Experience**:

- 3-4 years’ experience as an HR Generalist in a multi-state, multi-site organization.
- HR Certification preferred
- Experience with ADP Software is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization
- Union experience a plus

**Technical Skills**
- Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines
- Problem Resolution experience
- Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Excel and Access

**Soft Skills**:

- Maintains positive attitude and demonstrates the utmost in professionalism.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Completes work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Works independently and possesses good judgment skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment

**Physical Requirements**:

- Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.
- Typical office environment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening.
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
