**Accounts Payable Specialist**

Location: Central Services
37.5 hours weekly

Position follows the school calendar - 10 months per year

Salary range is $20.01 to $27.77 hourly

The successful applicant will provide support to the Finance department and school
Financial Secretaries. This position requires a high level of integrity and confidentiality with capability and willingness to be flexible with new processes.

**Key duties**:

- Review and approve vendor invoices and statements and ensure general compliance of all Accounts Payable processes.
- Communicate with Division purchasing card cardholders regarding submission of receipts, policies and procedures.
- Accounting admin support to accounting and banking software programs including
PowerSchool AtrieveERP and BMO Spend Dynamics.
- General duties include but not limited to: digital filing financial records, updating, reviewing, and maintaining accounting databases.
- Providing assistance and support to the Accounting Team, and other duties as assigned.

**Desirable qualifications**:

- Training from an accredited office administration program with a minimum two years experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software experience with Adobe, Google, Excel, Accounting Software, along with the willingness to learn is a preferred asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to simultaneously deal with a variety of tasks
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Independent and self-motivated worker
- High level of integrity & confidentiality with capability & willingness to be flexible with new processes.
