The Lifesaving Society is a full-service provider of programs, products and services designed to save lives and prevent water-related injury since 1896. We are a leader and partner in the delivery of water safety education throughout Canada and around the world.

The **Marketing and Communications Coordinator** is responsible for creating and distributing promotional material, managing social media accounts, and promoting our brand, products, and services. The coordinator will also be responsible for providing administrative supports to various teams by managing, writing, and editing communications to members and clients at large.

The **Marketing and Communications Coordinator** will have excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics to promote a positive public image and ensure clear communication of our organization’s messages across all channels.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Coordinate promotion of our brand, product, and services at events
- Coordinate the design of promotional materials and distribute in online and offline channels
- Create and send regular communications and newsletters with organizational updates
- Track ROI for marketing campaigns
- Monitor and assist in maintaining web content and social media accounts
- Gather member and client feedback
- Support implementation of communications strategies
- Update databases and media lists
- Track projects and media exposure
- Support the preparation of presentations and reports
- Support organizational event planning and coordination

**THE SKILLS YOU BRING**
- Outstanding organizational, planning, time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in copywriting and editing
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with marketing campaigns on social media
- Experience in web design and content production is an asset
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics is an asset
- Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies is an asset

**THE REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven working experience as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator or similar position
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a relevant field is highly recommended
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Knowledge of marketing and communication principles as they relate to non-profit voluntary sector organizations is an asset
