Marketing and Communications Coordinator

**Please note: This position is limited to NAIT internal staff only.**
**Please note**:Occasional evening and weekend hours of work are required. Occasional travel within Edmonton and Alberta are required.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate all communications and marketing initiatives for the Athletics & Recreation Facilities Department.
- Manage and maintain department visual identity guidelines.
- Manage and maintain department websites.
- Manage and maintain all department social media accounts.
- Manage and maintain all department publications.
- Mentor gameday staff to support the overall production of our varsity home games; webcast crew, PA announcers.
- Supervise wage staff to support in the communications and marketing role; photographer, web writers, videographer.
- Committee member for department events
- Represent NAIT Athletics on ACAC Marketing Committee
- Coordinate all department community engagement initiatives
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships both internal and external.
- Highly organized and responsive, keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of the ACAC and CCAA preferred.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum post-secondary diploma. Degree preferred in marketing and/or communication.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in post-secondary athletics and recreation is required.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s license
- Equivalencies may be considered
**Remuneration**:$2,349.28 - $3,148.35** **plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator I).
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
