We are looking for an Analyst, Information Management (IM) to join our team and help us automate and improve IM compliance. They are responsible for managing and maintaining HFR’s IM systems, ensuring that they incorporate IM regulatory and compliance requirements, and deliver IM functionality in a user friendly and efficient way.

**The role**

The IM Analyst keeps abreast of developments in the field and stays plugged in to the local and online IM community, in order to bring forward new ideas or solution to current problems. This role is a temporary position of 13 months.

**The responsibilities**
- Works with the IM/IT staff to implement an HFR IM systems’ vision. This vision will incorporate all IM regulatory and compliance requirements, and delivers IM functionality in a user friendly and efficient way.
- Maintains ongoing communications with HFR staff to ensure that systems are fully functional. Provides advice and recommendations on future IM automation, self-service and tools.
- Manages, and participates in, projects related to implementing, upgrading, migrating or enhancing HFR’s IM systems, including determining requirements and investigating, testing and evaluating new products.
- Works with Library and Archives Canada to develop and maintain HFR’s disposition procedures and ensure compliance with the Library and Archives Canada Act (SC 2004, c. 11).
- Automate HFR’s information disposition function, implementing appropriate checks to be carried out to ensure information is ready for disposition.
- Document and update HFR’s IM processes and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in IM and seeks ways to further implement IM solutions into HFR business process and strategies.

**The requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in information science or related field.
- Master’s degree in information or related field, an asset.
- At least 3 years of experience in information management, library management, or archival management.
- Strong knowledge and skills in managing information throughout the IM life cycle, from information creation to disposition.
- Experience in EDRMS, including SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and quick learning ability.
