**Role Responsibilities**:
As Alberta Parks Public Information Manager, you will lead the delivery of a portfolio of technically complex in-house visitor experience programs and business supports for Alberta Parks - focusing on program governance, customer experience, public information, and parks communications.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the management of public information related to Alberta Parks programs, ensuring it supports public safety, revenue generation, and tourism.
- Translating policies and information into deliverables to enhance visitor experience and managing AlbertaParks.ca.
- Overseeing Alberta Parks’ brand standards, wayfinding sign program, and public information materials like campground guides, maps, and brochures.
- Managing social media channels for public safety, programs, and the Alberta Parks ambassador program.
- Ensuring service solutions are up to date, anticipating emerging changes, and leading the update of legacy systems.
- Leading teams responsible for Alberta Parks' public information services.
- Being accountable for program audit results and performance outcomes.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:

- University Degree (4-years) in a related field such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Recreation Management, Marketing and Communications or Digital Arts and Multimedia. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis. e.g. 2 year diploma with 6 years of related experience.
- Preference for 4 or more additional years of progressively responsible related experience with communications and/or project management; or equivalent.
- Knowledge:

- Expertise in parks and recreation management, project management, and communication strategies for service delivery, customer experience, and revenue generation.
- Strong understanding of political/government structures, stakeholder relations, and working with diverse populations (e.g., age, gender, disability, indigenous and immigrant groups).
- Knowledge of contract development and management, with experience working with various stakeholders, including IT providers, non-profits, and government entities.
- Skills:

- Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects, working groups, and stakeholders across various levels and backgrounds.
