The Data Steward is the main point of contact across the enterprise for data governance, data quality, and process improvement at all stages of the data lifecycle. They will be involved in the development of the data governance policies and the implementation and improvement of our Data Governance tool.

The Data Steward is responsible for establishing, documenting, and executing processes to ensure a high-level of data integrity across the enterprise. This cross-functional role will convene stakeholders to enable a consistent approach to data definition, data ownership, and data management policies. This position requires a process champion who is comfortable establishing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with process. It requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and someone who is comfortable to engage and collaborate across the enterprise.

You're great at:
- Facilitate a cross-functional process to establish and document clear standards for the creation and management of data - including what information is captured, data definitions, how data is used, when data changes, and sources and supporting documentation for our business data-
- Establish and enforce clear processes for updating data sources and ensuring data quality/integrity standards are upheld- Own and champion data quality throughout the enterprise, and work with data owners, business data stewards, and IT to identify and resolve data quality issues- Lead the creation and improvement of the data principles and data governance policies, with the aim of improving data quality / integrity.- Lead data and report certification efforts, including automated balance and controls where applicable.

You have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to data management.- Minimum of 5 years experience in Data Analysis or 2+ years of experience in Data Governance.- Experience in Data Governance and/or Data Management is required.- Experience with business glossaries, data definitions, and/or data catalogues is required.- Experience with a Data Governance tool is an asset- Proficiency in operational procedures, workflow, and processing functions.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and SQL is required.
