**Synopsis of the role**

The Chief Data Office is a fast growing team critical to the Bureau’s objectives of transforming into a Data and Analytics organization. It plays a critical function in building and supporting best-in-class data assets. Data is our second most important asset after our people. Data Stewards are at the heart of managing this critical asset.

**What you’ll do**:

- Domain Expertise: Understand the life cycle of Equifax data across all stages from ingestion to product delivery
- Quality Monitoring: Work with the data quality lead and analyst on the development of threshold based reports that efficiently and reliably identify areas for further investigation and improvement. Act on the findings of these reports in a timely manner, prioritizing efforts based on business impact.
- Data Quality: Work with the Data Quality lead and the data modernization team to establish preventive practices to ensure fit for purpose quality of our data assets.
- Be an ambassador for our data assets and encourage data awareness that can identify new revenue opportunities and / or efficiencies. Maintain documentation and share knowledge base. Find innovative ways to effectively educate and communicate across the organization.

**What experience you need**:

- 5+ years experience with industry leading lenders and/or data companies with working knowledge of data structures, data management, and data lifecycle.
- 5+ years experience in credit risk, financial services, marketing, fraud, insurance, or equivalent industry
- Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data driven solutions to meet business objectives
- 5+ years experience with data and business insights analysis which identify and drive ongoing excellence in data quality practices.
- Strong desire to efficiently manage and catalog data assets with the purpose of both maximizing value and minimizing risk.

- Experience in analytics, software engineering, data management/architecture or similar and experience in managing technical documentation
- The ability to prioritize work among competing pressures.
- Experience with Collibra and other similar tools
- Experience with SQL, Google Big Query, or equivalent tools.
