**What would my role be?**
Reporting to the Manager, Adult day program you are responsible for coordinating and completing daily administrative tasks for the day program. Your main tasks will include but will not be limited to:
- Creating and managing the weekly schedule for participants of the day program.
- Assisting the manager in the initial assessment of client eligibility for new admissions for the program.
- Participating in the planning and organizing of activities based on clients’ abilities to participate.
- Leveraging innovative and creative strategies in the development of therapeutic activities.
- Be responsible for ongoing communication with family members in respect to accounts receivables and billing inquiries.
- Participating in tracking key statistical information pertinent to the day program/
- Replacing the manager during absences or vacation.
- Collaborating with other staff within the day program as well as with the manager and staff within Bruyère Health village
**How do I qualify?**
Required:
- Two (2) year Community College Diploma in a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent relevant experience (work or educational) in healthcare.
- Experience in working with day programs or day program environments
- Experience in working with Alzheimer’s and dementia client populations
- Fluent in French and English
Preferred:
- Work experience in adult day programs.
**What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?**
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and services
- Able to build relationships with family members of existing clients, engage and reach out to family when appropriate
- Able to log pertinent information in computerized systems for statistical references
- Health Literacy knowledge to understand RAI-CHA evaluations from Ontario Health
- Excellent knowledge of community services available for seniors
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent time and organizational management skills
- Able to organize / orchestrate /operationalize
- Able to work cohesively in a team
- Healthcare system knowledge
