This is a position with the YMMT team.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 yrs. of experience with a mortgage brokerage, financial institution, mortgage team or direct lender.
- Experience working with Velocity
- Familiarity with mortgage process & documents
- People skills-very personable
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent judgment / must be able to make independent decisions
- Self-Motivated / proactive mindset / hard working
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Works well under pressure

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinating with the lead mortgage agent on the file to match borrowers to lenders and ensure file prep and document collection are on track for submission.
- Work with internal agents, clients, lenders, and lawyers to satisfy outstanding conditions, fullfilment.
- Communicating with all parties to ensure coordination and maintaining process efficiency.
- Credit review/adjudication
- Loan-to-value analysis
- GDS/TDS
- Lender sourcing/file approvals & dealing with BDMs and underwriters
- Underwrite and resolve challenging scenarios
- Ensure all documents are compliant with FSRA guidelines

**Job Type**:
Part-time with an opportunity to convert to Full-time based on performance

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- Preferably GTA focused but not necessarily based in the GTA.

**Education**:

- FSRA Mortgage License in good standing
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Mortgage Underwriter or Mortgage Agent: 2 years (required)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
