We proudly partner with 65+ mainstream lenders and over 7,000 products to finance Canadian families' dream homes.About the Role:Are you ready for the 8Twelve 8-step process, this is your opportunity to reach great heights We are looking for highly motivated Mortgage Underwriters who can manage mortgage deals', underwriting, and approval processes to develop and contribute to the growth of the business Working alongside our Mortgage Agents to help fund deals. In this role, you are experienced with advising and structuring deals to maximize returns, deliver exceptional response times, and increase efficiency within the process while minimizing risks along with maintaining compliance standards.RequirementsA snapshot of a typical week: Provide advice and solutions to clients to meet their individual needs Complete and assess mortgage applications, perform credit checks, searches, and other related underwriting requirements Ensure mortgage applications meet compliance requirements and adhere to lender policies and guidelines Perform due diligence on all underwriting-related documentation Prepare Signature and Compliance packages Stay up to date with the processing requirements and ensure loan submission follows the required steps and processes Correspond with clients' lawyers and appraisers to ensure efficient workflow to coincide with closing dates Collaborate and build relationships with lenders. Success in this role requires:Mortgage Brokerage experience is highly preferred. Being a driven, self-starter, problem-solver, and organized great communicator. 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter, preferably within a Brokerage.
