The Manager, Business Transformation is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager, Business Transformation with the development and execution of strategic and key change management initiatives for Small Business Banking and the Mid-Market segment. In this role, you will work on various cross-functional initiatives that will enable profitable growth of our customer base, net income and volume growth targets. You will also work closely with other stakeholders to deliver on related short-term and long-term business objectives. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will**: - Support the Sr. Manager, Business Transformation, in the development and execution of short and long-term strategic initiatives and special projects - Influence management by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for new strategic initiatives and our longer-term roadmap - Perform and execute on competitive market assessments and research to shape the external environment (customer, regulatory, economic, etc.), increase market position and generate customer value - Clearly communicate business and strategic context on an ongoing basis to ensure stakeholders are continually informed of relevant industry and business developments and the leadership team’s priorities and expectations - Ensure project deliverables are adhered to and keeping the Director and Sr. Manager aware of any red flags concerning the timing of assignments - Contribute to driving change and identifying areas of improvement across all disciplines and teams within the department and in the field - Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at peer and Sr. Management levels - Work to proactively engage business lines and product groups in enhancing capabilities and strategies both within Small Business Banking and enterprise-wide - Collaborate with various other internal or external teams across the Bank to deliver on key objectives as required - Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of one self’s business/product knowledge, competitive practices, and market insights **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have**: - Multiple years of related wok experience in strategy development and execution, with experience in strategic planning, business planning, and/or strategy review processes - Post-secondary education or MBA in management, administration, commerce or related field - Previous experience supporting a product area, business line, or field experience - Clear understanding of the Small Business market is highly preferred - Comfortability with influencing without authority to help shape strategy - The ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, demonstrating structured thinking/processes to simplify complexity - Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize various ongoing initiatives - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and prepare decks to present/convey key messaging and opportunities - Solid understanding of financial statements and P&L levers - Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint - A strong customer focus with the ability to identify customer needs and develop solutions that create customer value and profitability for the Bank Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
