Bar & Concession Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Guest Experience, the Bar & Concession Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Arts Club Theatre Company’s food and beverage operations across all venues. This position helps ensure our guests enjoy a welcoming, efficient, and memorable experience before, during, and after performances. Working closely with the Guest Experience team, this role maintains high service standards, supports staff training, and keeps bar and concession areas operating smoothly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day bar and concession operations across all venues, ensuring spaces are clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready.
- Coordinate setup and closing procedures for performances and events, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
- Provide a warm, professional presence during service periods to support front-line staff and assist with guest inquiries.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, assist with ordering and receiving, and track stock rotation and spoilage.
- Prepare daily reports, including sales summaries, deposits, and inventory counts as required.
- Support the implementation of bar promotions, themed events, and special activations aligned with productions and community programming.
- Assist in onboarding and supporting new bar and concession team members, reinforcing Arts Club’s service values and responsible beverage practices.
- Ensure compliance with Serving It Right, FoodSafe, and all liquor and food service regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or concession operations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; friendly and calm under pressure.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with POS systems (Square or similar).
- Current Serving It Right and FoodSafe Level 1 certification required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to performance schedules.
- Prior experience working with or in a unionized environment is an asset.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
**Salary**: $48,000 per annum
Expected start date: As soon as possible
Employment Type: Permanent Full-time (40 hours per week).
