This is a Canada Summer Junior/Youth Grant Position.

To be eligible, you must be the following:

- be between 16 and 30 years of age **at the beginning** of the employment period*
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act_ for the duration of the employment** **and**:

- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

*The youth must be 16 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.

**International students are not eligible participants.** As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash registers
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in the concession area
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate concession services for events

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
- Work well as part of a team of by themselves
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Cash handling experience is required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
