Be our next **Intermediate Transportation Planner
Due to company growth and recent high-profile project wins the EXP transportation team in Western Canada is expanding and is currently seeking an **Intermediate Transportation Planner **who has the interest and ambition to join its Western Canada Transportation Planning Group in Calgary, Edmonton, or Burnaby.

**What a day at EXP has in store for you**
- Transportation policy studies including research and analysis.
- Business case assessments for transportation projects
- Transportation master plan studies
- Transit service operations and planning practices, as well as transit priority assessments
- Active transportation planning and design projects
- Input to traffic impact studies
- Transportation study peer reviews
- Site visits and field investigations for transportation studies, including data acquisition, traffic counts, and inventories of roadway elements.
- Public transit network analysis and planning
- Road safety reviews and collision prediction analysis
- Preparing documentation related to projects, proposals and expressions of interest.
- Communicating and working with other project team members, including mentoring junior-level team members
- Liaising with and assisting other departments and offices in the provision of transportation planning services to clients
- Completing work within the prescribed time and budget while maintaining high quality
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite that includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience undertaking planning studies with large data sets
- Experience / familiarity with transportation tools (Micro/meso/macroscopic levels)

**What your experience looks like**
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or similar field with a strong emphasis on transportation planning or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or engineering with some experience in transit, active transportation, and/or multimodal projects
- Possesses an engineering license (P.Eng.) or registered professional planner designation (RPP, MCIP) or in progress to obtaining one of these
- Contribution to supporting business development activities, including inputs to and/or leading proposals
