**Scope of Position**

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Supply Chain, the Import Export Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the inflow and outflow of shipments into the respective warehouses by identifying and appropriate carriers/forwarders considering the type of goods, cost, time and security.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Prepare documentation in compliance with import and export regulations (HS codes, NAFTA certifications, B13, Lacey, etc.).
- Develop and maintain company procedures and guidelines related to transportation and customs.
- Review and approve invoices for freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokerage.
- Develop and maintain freight database with up-to-date information on quotes, rates and contracts.
- Review and negotiate contracts, rates and services in conjunction with the Sourcing team.
- Develop, monitor, analyze and report the performance of service providers.
- Perform other related duties as required to assist in efficient operation of the department.

**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience in traffic/transportation and customs.
- Working knowledge of domestic/international freight movement and customs requirements with multi-model transportation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills supporting the identification of areas of improvement and solution development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex messages.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Well versed in all aspects of general business.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Confident, articulate, and professional abilities furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

**Education**
- Logistics or Traffic/Transportation Diploma and/or Degree.
- CITT certification considered an asset.
