Coderix Medical Clinic is an addictions medicine clinic in downtown Toronto. We offer treatment for all substance use disorders and are focused on helping persons who are experiencing opioid use disorder. We are located in downtown Toronto and offer compassionate care to persons from all walks of life.
**Qualifications and skills**
- Diploma as a Medical Office Assistant, or recognized equivalent, or a relevant post-secondary degree, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, including those who may be experiencing distress. Should be able to handle patient requests in a manner that is patient-centered and compassionate, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive patient information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians in clinic, with pharmacies, and with staff at partner agencies.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- OHIP billing experience is an asset.
- Experience in a medical office is an asset.
- Experience working in the area of addictions or harm reduction is an asset.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Greeting patients, answering patient queries, and managing waiting room during clinic hours.
- Answering phone calls, sending faxes, and scheduling appointments using EMR.
- Managing logistics of remote medical visits, including managing video platforms for visits.
- Performing Urine Drug Screens and inputting results into EMR.
- Faxing prescriptions to pharmacies, and confirming receipt of prescriptions.
- Comminication with pharmacies to confirm dispensing of medication doses.
- Data entry, document scanning and data management.
- Process OHIP billings as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Pay will be commensurate with experience, 19-21/hr. starting wage.
Following hiring, there will be a 3-month probation period.

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
