**Medical Clinic Office Manager**

**Managerial duties**
- Prepare monthly work schedules for medical office assistants
- Responsible for recruitment/initial screening on new hires
- Responsible for on boarding/ training new MOA’s
- Ensure that MOAs follow office policies; put daily policies and procedures in place.
- Assist with the development/modification and implementation of clinic policies
- Act as a liaison between clinic owners, physicians and staff members
- Recognize and respond to difficult or problematic situations with staff and patients.
- Manage the office budget, including ordering supplies and managing medical costs.
- Be a role model for the staff; demonstrate professionalism in dealing with patients, policyholders, physician offices, vendors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate clinic flow and efficiencies
- Communications within electronic medical records (EMR) provider (Telus PS Suites) and online booking portal provider (Oceans).

In addition to being the clinic manager, you will be a valuable part of the front desk team who will interact with patients and perform/support the duties of a medical office assistant which would include:

- Fielding phone calls and facilitate clinic communications
- Support clinically ( i.e when short staffed or unexpected attendance occur)
- **Requirements**:_
- Consideration for applicants who have worked for at least five years in a physician’s office or medical clinic who have not held a manager position.
- A Medical Office Assistant Certificate from an accredited educational facility would be an asset.
- College diploma or certificate in clinical management (preferred)
- Experience working with Telus PS Suites is essential.
- Clinical experience is preferred.

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
