Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). - Responsibilities:
- Prepare Opex and Capex forecasts
- Prepare Opex and Capex budgets
- Submit & monitor AFE’s
- Report on budget variances
- Ensure costs are reported as incurred, open commitments are accrued
- Ensure work orders and purchase orders are coded to the correct project code and category
- Prepare journal entries
- Support cost control on projects
- Support and drive continuous improvement projects
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of applicable work experience;
- Working towards Professional Accounting designation
- Field-level reporting experience considered an asset;
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills - must possess advanced Excel skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively;
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment;
- Possess a sense of urgency and accountability, ability to respond to tight deadline requirements;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; and
- Ability to demonstrate initiative by undertaking tasks independently.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
- Primary residency within 120 KM of the Sherwood Park office is required.
