Field Communications Manager

**Overview**:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Sherwood Park office is recruiting for a Field Communications Manager to join the Field Communications team. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, SCADA Systems and Field Communications in the Information Services Unit, (ISU).

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure that Pembina has the appropriate telecommunications systems and talent available to drive ongoing success through the development and maintenance of all Field Communications solutions;
- Contribute to IS/OT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IS/OT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IS/OT systems across the organization;
- Contribute to the development and execution of the corporate strategy and continue to be a key interface with internal and external stakeholders, including contributing to the Information Services Unit steering committee as required;
- Contribute to strategic analysis of acquisitions, major growth initiatives, by supporting the technical due diligence, as well as the asset, operational and system integration aspects of transactions or growth initiatives;
- Ensure 100% available field communications feeding the SCADA and Leak Detection systems required for the efficient and safe monitoring and control of all Pembina operated pipeline systems;
- Provide leadership and direction for all Field Communication personnel;
- Provide annual budget and monthly forecasts for the operation and maintenance of the telecommunications equipment and services;
- Investigate and recommend new technology for telecommunications, that provides financial or operational/safety benefits for Pembina. (Innovation);
- Collaborate with Pembina’s Field Communications teams, SCADA and Leak Detection teams, control center staff, engineering groups, automation, and field operations personnel;
- Promote a strong working relationship with strategic vendors and service providers;
- Ensure overall safety and safety performance of the Field Communications team; and
- Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive and diverse workplace.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Demonstrable experience involving progressively more challenging responsibilities in leadership, telecommunications, and associated technologies;
- Inspire your team to do their best work every day and rally around a common vision for the future;
- Strong technical understanding of telecommunications concepts, including microwave radio, networking, cellular, and satellite;
- Commitment to expanding knowledge and experience in the telecommunications field and leadership development;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interactions with all levels of stakeholders; and
- Flexibility to provide after-hours support work will be necessary, given that our pipelines are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
