AMS Automated Manufacturing Systems is focused on introducing the next generation of automation in manufacturing & assembly. Our innovative core competencies lie on Automation Assembly in the Automotive Industry, using various Assembly, Welding, & Laser Technologies. We are looking for talented, dedicated and self-motivated individuals to assist with the growth and expansion of AMS.

As lead of Sales and Business development you will be responsible for promoting and selling AMS Automation’s leading-edge engineered manufacturing systems & solutions, products, and services to manufacturers and manufacturing departments of relevant companies while developing new opportunities in assigned regions or selected market sectors and meeting quarterly and annual bookings targets.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in engineering or technology
- Experience in solution sales of capital equipment or industrial automation, with proven ability to develop customer trust with full life cycle offers (i.e. after sales contracts).
- Must demonstrated knowledge, drive and motivation to sell and marketing in the industrial automation/manufacturing solution industry.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills, representing the company's long-term business requirements on multi-year contracts.
- Must be willing to travel frequently within Canada and across North America, and occasionally internationally as required
- Technical proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective verbal, written, and communication skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities,**

**Sales**
- Initiate and then lead customer dialogue for identified opportunities.
- Achieve sales objectives within the context set by the company senior management.
- Conduct meetings at customer facilities, centered in NA.
- Collect customer requirements and generate product feature definition/recommendation.
- Determine and document project requirements for internal stakeholders.
- Drive opportunities through to close.
- Maintain customer relationships at various customer levels.
- Conduct legal negotiations according to AMS policies and procedures.

**Business development**
- Implement account strategies with defined customer base.
- Collect and construct market/account intelligence data.
- Present AMS capabilities to diverse customer audiences
- Assist with various company strategic initiatives.
- Develop order/bookings forecasts as requested using the Salesforce CRM system
- Operate within the Sales Plan and operating budget parameters defined by AMS President.
- Report on performance using the formats, schedule and requirements defined by company standards.

**Travel**
- Travel is required during the course of normal annual responsibilities.
- Mainly domestic travelling will be necessary as part of normal sales and technical support activities.
- Occasional international travel may be required for short term meetings marketing or other associated sales activities.
