**Job Summary**:
The Home Care Aide provides personal care, companionship, and home support services to clients in their residences. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting safety and well-being, and ensuring clients maintain as much independence as possible.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with exercises, walking, and other activities as recommended by health professionals.
- Remind clients to take medications (as per care plan).
- Observe, record, and report changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor.
- Follow care plans and company policies to ensure safe, respectful, and high-quality service.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate, Health Care Aide program, or equivalent (depending on provincial requirements).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Experience in home care, community care, or a related health care field is an asset.
- Ability to lift, move, or assist clients safely (as required).
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients’ homes.
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.

**Work Conditions**:

- Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work performed in clients’ private homes.
- May involve exposure to pets, smoking, or other household conditions.
