**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial transactions and record-keeping for our restaurants. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoices and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

**TEAM & DEPARTMENT**

The Bookkeeper will report to the Corporate Senior Accountant while working alongside the Financial Analyst with day-to-day accounting tasks.

**COMPENSATION**

The Bookkeeper is entitled to a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year aligned with experience, 2 weeks of vacation, benefits and a meal allowance to keep you fueled up while you work.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Financial Transactions:

- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately using accounting software (NetSuite).
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Invoices and Payments:

- Generate and process invoices for vendors, suppliers and customers promptly and accurately.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on overdue payments and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting:

- Compile and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Record-Keeping and Documentation:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Safeguard confidential financial information and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Relevant certification is a plus.
