We are a growing import and retail company with a strong commitment to operational excellence, accuracy, and financial integrity. We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our finance function in maintaining accurate records, tracking inventory-related costs, and ensuring timely financial reporting.

Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle bookkeeping, government filings, and support with financial reporting. This role requires experience in a fast-paced retail or import environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both operations and financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements
- Track and allocate landed costs and freight for imported goods
- Support inventory accounting and cost of goods sold tracking
- Assist with month-end close and preparation of internal financial reports
- Help ensure internal financial controls are followed
- Monitor cash flow and report any variances or issues
- Organize and maintain financial documents (digital and physical)

Qualifications:

- Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in retail, import/export, or distribution
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations)
- Familiarity with inventory systems, landed cost calculations, and government remittances
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience working with or under a CPA is an asset
