**Schedule**:

- **Winnipeg Festival**:July 18 - 20, 2025. **July 18, 19, and 20**are full event days. July 17 may be a partial day dedicated to on-site training at Assiniboine Park, if required.

**Compensation**:A flat rate of **$1,000**for the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival event weekend

**The Role**:

As the **Volunteer Coordinator,**you will be responsible for managing all aspects of volunteer coordination during the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. This includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising our talented group of volunteers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

This role requires excellent organization, superior people management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Maintain and grow volunteer base through outreach to individuals, community-based organizations and groups, colleges/universities, and corporations as needed.
- Work closely with all divisions of the festival to ensure the correct volunteers are in place.
- Manage volunteer check-in, shirt handouts, and orientation.
- Rotating positions to ensure the success of the event, managing food and water for volunteers.
- Assist with the creation of schedule and manage Bloomerang for recruitment process.
- Maintain daily volunteer scheduling and database. Provide accurate and timely volunteer data for funder and volunteer-requested reports.
- Work closely with the chosen charities to fully understand the positions, schedules, and tasks at hand as they may provide a portion of the volunteer base.
- Provide volunteer shirt sizes to Trixstar Volunteer Manager.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings with Volunteer Manager and a post event review meeting.
- Guarantee that volunteers and interns enjoy a positive experience

**Qualifications**:

- Volunteer management experience is an asset.
- Events experience is an asset.
- Experience working with Boomerang (INITLive) software would be preferred.
