**BUILDING MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR**

**Permanent Full-Time (Lasalle Site)**

**Hourly rate: $28.24-$35.30**

The Building Maintenance Coordinator contributes to the efficient delivery of support services that meet the expectations of patients, visitors and staff and maximizes the function and life of the hospital’s furnishings, equipment and physical plant. They perform basic repair and maintenance functions, assembles/dissembles equipment, and responds to work orders. The job involves working with tradespeople performing routine and corrective maintenance of the property, maintaining critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment, and participating in a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. The Building Maintenance Coordinator participates in preventative maintenance programs that ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and minimize inconvenient breakdowns.

**Additional duties include but not limited to**:

- Regular, scheduled and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment (including certain medical equipment), control systems, physical plant and property
- Equipment assembly, installation and disassembly
- Equipment audits and regular inspections

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Previous experience in general labour, maintenance processes and equipment repair
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- HVAC and Fire Safety experience is an asset
- Ability to build positive working relationships, communicate effectively and work independently to meet deadlines
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
