Inflexion Games is searching for a
**Payroll + Benefits Specialis**t to join our Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, performing various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management, and keeping employee information up to date. The
**Payroll + Benefits Specialist** is also responsible for administering benefits programs and responding to employee inquiries.

**What you’ll do**

**Payroll**:

- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Respond to requests from employees to resolve pay-related enquiries.
- Prepare year-to-date information for T4 and T4A slips, reconcile payroll earnings and deductions, make year-to-date adjustments, load PA data, and ensure statements are processed and filed within required CRA deadlines.
- Prepare payroll for severance, termination, new hires and any related documentation (e.g. ROEs). Perform off-cycle payrolls as required.
- Accurate management of vacation tracking and other out-of-office reporting

**Benefits**:

- Process enrollments, terminations, and changes for Plan Administration.
- Monthly monitoring of eligibility for health, dental, disability, and insurance benefits for new hires, rehires, or those with status changes due to qualifying events.
- Assist employees with general benefit questions and educate members on how to use their benefits, submit claims, etc. Troubleshoot employee benefits questions and claim issues with providers as necessary.
- Reconcile monthly billing for benefits carriers and deductions from payroll for employee-paid premiums.

**Additionally**:

- Beyond payroll and benefits, you will own the integrity of the employee data in our Ceridian Dayforce solution and support our Talent Team through employee onboarding. Finally, you will be an active member of our broader operations team - supporting other team members with or leading your own ad hoc projects and other duties commensurate with your expertise and background.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience - experience in a small to mid-sized organization preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration or a similar field of study or a combination of training, education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Professional certification through the Canadian Payroll Association, and Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate is an asset.
- Understanding of Canada Labour Code and other payroll-related legislation and regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge and technical skills working with Ceridian Dayforce and Google Workspace apps would be beneficial.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of departmental and cross-departmental teams.
- Provide a high level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive business and employee information.
- Well organized, with the flexibility to handle last-minute changes and issues
