**Job Summary**:
This position is responsible for making a positive commitment to Communication, Marketing & Public Affairs mission, vision and values and principles: Integrity, Quality, Respect, Service, Strategy and Teamwork.

**Accountabilities**:

- Manage the development, implementation and optimization of McMaster’s digital paid media campaigns across social, programmatic, and partner channels.
- Manage third-party agency relationships including development of creative and media plans, review and consolidation of feedback process, campaign reporting, and invoicing

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a content roadmap to supporting reputation building activities
- Provide insights and recommendations to produce engaging content to meet specific needs
- Gather data and provide analysis on media plans including report writing on a weekly and monthly basis
- Identify and work collaboratively to support marketing initiatives at the faculty level that support overall brand marketing goals of the university
- Gather text, graphics, illustrations and photo images.
- Gather and compile pertinent information necessary to complete projects.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Brand Guidelines and proactively maintain the brand integrity
- Manage the day-to-day activities related to the brand guidelines website including uploading new content, ongoing tagging, and assets, tools and template development
- Deliver training to internal campus partners
- Monitor the higher-learning competitive environment and share insights among the broader marketing team and other key stakeholders
- Advise on all brand related questions from the McMaster community and provide creative advice on brand related projects
- Proof and edit material for accuracy and completion
- Troubleshoot technical problems with software
- Adhere to established university and external deadlines and timelines
- Keep abreast of developments and trends in digital and multimedia communications and technological advancements
- Participate in University and/or department/faculty projects such as project teams, committees and work teams

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related (preferred). A McMaster degree would be an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing capacity with a specific focus on digital paid media management
- Strong experience with running, overseeing, managing and editing online performance marketing campaigns
- Experience managing external media and creative agencies
- Proficiency with Excel and an ability to analyze granular campaign performance data to make recommendations and decisions to optimize the campaign
- Ability to use keyword research tools (such as Google Keyword Planner, Bing Keyword Planner, SEM Rush, etc.).
- Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress and CRM platforms (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics) is an asset
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
