**Bilingual Human Resources Senior Administrative Assistant**
(1) Temporary 12 month Non-Unionized Opportunity - Bilingual Position
**The Position**:
The Human Resources Senior Administrative Assistant provides administrative support services to the HR Business Partners and reports to the Supervisor of Human Resources. In this capacity the Human Resources Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include:
- Provides clerical, analytical, and systems support in all areas requiring involvement in Human Resources.
- Responsible for completing the full cycle recruitment for all casual employees.
- Meets in-person with new employees on their first day to complete an orientation and onboarding session.
- Maintains a tracking system of all relevant contract employee data and “bring forward” system and ensures timely notification of all contract extensions.
- Maintains all employee files in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
- Tracks employee movement in the organization by updating a bi-weekly strategic staffing template.
- Prepares employment related letters and transactions in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Handles HR related inquiries or directs to proper source, employees wishing detailed information on matters relating to their employment with tact and sensitivity.
- Maintains procedures and policy manuals related to the Human Resources function.
- Research, format, and compile reports/statistical data collection and administrative control procedures, as required.
- Coordinates meetings and event times, including time sensitive events, updates schedules and manages agendas, takes and distributes minutes, prepares background information or research, books rooms, and ensures availability of necessary equipment.
- Assists in the development of processes, documentation, and handling inquiries from staff on various projects and initiatives.
- Assisting in other areas of Human Resources such as health and safety, compensation, benefits, labour relations, and training, as required.
Conditions of work:
Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The physical office is located in the Ottawa area. CASO has a Hybrid work model.
Compensation:
Salary Level $51,525 to $63,190 - Commensurate with training and experience.

**Qualifications**:
- University degree in a field such as Human Resources or Business Administration, or a College Diploma in a related field with equivalent experience.
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation is an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience within a Human Resources Department or a related field, including progressive responsibility in an administrative capacity or customer service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to team effectiveness.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the culture, history and current oppressions experienced by people related to gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation and then faced within the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the culture, history and current oppressions experienced by Indigenous peoples and racialized communities.
- Applies anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-indigenous racism and anti-2SLGBTTQIA+ lenses to social problems.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is required. Testing in reading, writing and speaking will be conducted.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
