We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our Human Resources/ Culture and Talent team as the champion of our company’s culture and all HR functions. **Position Overview**:

- Ensure effectiveness of day-to-day functions of the culture and talent department including recruitment and selection, training, health and safety, attendance, and corrective action.
- Handle sensitive team member matters, including personal, professional, and performance-related issues, with discretion, respect, and confidentiality.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for team members who need support in addressing personal or workplace challenges, ensuring empathetic listening and effective resolution.
- Address complaints and grievances, ensuring that all parties feel heard and that the process is fair and unbiased.
- Participate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Lead and facilitate difficult conversations, including but not limited to performance issues, interpersonal conflicts, and policy violations, with professionalism and tact.
- Provide guidance to managers on how to approach sensitive conversations and ensure that team members feel supported while upholding company policies and procedures.
- Ensure clear communication about performance expectations, behavioral standards, and potential consequences, while maintaining a positive and constructive environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sensitive discussions, corrective actions, and terminations, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal labour laws.
- Prepare necessary documentation to support any disciplinary action or termination, ensuring that all actions are legally compliant.
- Ensure all operational and safety training takes place for current and new team members to meet legislative and safety compliance.
- Ensure WSIB claims and forms are completed, reported, and followed up on.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of the information handled in this position.
- Assist in the team building process among departments.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Coordinate and facilitate new team member culture and safety onboarding.
- Lead to initiate, organize, facilitate activities to drive company culture.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- University or College Diploma, preferably in business specializing in Human Resources or equivalent.
- CHRP designation or working towards it preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a Human Resources role required.
- Highly energetic, self-motivated, a must.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
- Excellent inter-personal relations skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail skills.
- A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
- An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute.
- A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
