We currently have a **Regular Full-time** opportunity for a **Mental Health Clinician** on the **Thompson Centre - Brain Sciences** department at **Bellwood Campus.** **Hours of Work: **Weekdays**: Days; 8 hrs; As per schedule **Some Weekends**: Days; 8 hrs; As per schedule **Summary of Duties** The Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre, within Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, is a specialized program treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related "spectrum" disorders, including hoarding, hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking and body dysmorphic disorder. We are currently seeking an allied health professional with experience and expertise in the treatment of OCD to join the inter-professional team delivering intensive residential and outpatient treatment for severe OCD. The person in this position will provide individual and group therapy, support coached exposures during ERP sessions, conduct assessments (dependent on qualifications) and contribute to collaborative treatment plans for each patient. In addition to working within the intensive OCD program, this role will also support the outpatient program with case management services for patients with severe OCD, as required. - Facilitate group CBT, and a variety of other modalities such as DBT, ACT, Mindfulness - Provide individual therapy - Contribute to discharge planning - Develop and facilitate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) activities - Conduct assessments to inform individualized treatment plans (dependent on qualifications) - Deliver case management services to identified outpatients, as needed - Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports - Actively participate in team rounds and collaborate with team members in provision of care - Conduct intake assessments to determine eligibility for new referrals - Contribute to teaching activities such ECHO - Other activities identified on an as-needed basis **Qualifications/Skills** - Masters Degree in occupational therapy, social work or related field required. - Must be a current member in good standing and be registered with appropriate college. - Minimum 3 years’ previous experience working in a mental health care setting required; experience within day hospital or residential treatment settings considered an asset. - Demonstrated knowledge of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related disorders; as well as anxiety disorders more broadly. - Proven counselling and problem solving skills essential. - Superior communication, negotiation, mediation and collaborative inter-professional team skills required. - Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills in addressing multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment required. - Understanding and commitment to the principles of health equity and anti-oppression.
