Heart Pharmacy is seeking an enthusiastic Human Resource professional to lead our team in a locally owned, multi-location pharmacy in the Greater Victoria Area.

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources department, including implementation of people related policies, services, and programs. This position will serve as the lead resource for any HR related inquiries from employees and will collaborate closely with other departments in the organization.

Reporting to the General Manager, primary objectives of the HR Manager are:
Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.

Acting as an advisor and coach to all levels of the team
- employees, management and ownership
- for interpersonal relations, constructive feedback, challenging communication, personal challenges, development wishes, etc.

Developing with management, systems that measure and monitor employee satisfaction.

Regularly communicating with the leadership team and wider employee groups. Updates regarding benefits plans, employee engagement projects, updates and changes to company policies, support regular review process for entire team.

Develop and maintain performance management and improvement systems.

Facilitate performance review on an annual basis.

Facilitate and maintain records of employee reviews, incidents, and achievements.

Development of a superior workforce, through improving and maintaining recruitment and retention practices

Work with management to identify growth opportunities for employees.

Maintaining up to date job descriptions and evaluation rubrics and tools for every employee position.

Promoting employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.

Considering the business holistically and the impact of HR policies.

Development of the Human Resources department.

On-going review and development of the Employee Policy Handbook for utility, accuracy, and compliance with ESBC.

**Skills and Abilities**:
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Great attention to detail.

Ability to get along with others and a desire to build strong relationships.

Knowledge of Google Workspace, Payworks and Asana an asset.

Demonstrated team player.

Own a vehicle for once weekly store visits (gas and mileage reimbursement provided).

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Qualifications**:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
