**About the Role**:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible all aspects of identifying, developing and executing innovative HR strategies as well as Recruitment, Employee Relations and Benefit and Talent Management initiatives. As a member of our Head Office team, you will play a key role in driving and protecting the company culture, while bringing strong people-focused practices and potential impacts to the forefront of strategic business discussions and decisions.
The Human Resources Manager ensures adherence with provincial and federal employment labour law and develops and recommends human resource policies, procedures and programs for implementation company wide.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
- You feel at home with technology, and possess the ability to administrate, and effectively maximize HRIS software
- You have strong data analysis skills with the ability to operationalize HR initiatives based on data points
- You can develop and execute a strategic HR plan across the organization
- You are able to create, implement and monitor a Talent Matrix Program
- Development and analysis of a staff education platform
- Ability to evaluate and develop Employee Engagement and Retention Initiatives
- Data-driven analysis of the job posting process. Occasionally participates in the recruitment and selection process as needed.
- Administration and ongoing development of job descriptions and specifications. Ensures job descriptions are kept up to date and reflect best practices.
- Maintains a current understanding of changing employment/labour law, Human Resources practices, and best practices. Makes proactive recommendations to senior management and implements changes as necessary
**Qualifications**:
- Degree or Diploma in human resource management combined with 3-5 years experience in a leadership capacity. The equivalent combination of education and experience in a human resource or business capacity will be considered.
- Experience managing an HRIS
- Experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience in Project management would be an asset
- Knowledge of provincial Employment Standards Act, BC Human Rights Code, WorkSafeBC regulations, BC Labour Code, and employment law principles
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and trusting relationships with managers, the union, employees, and colleagues.
