**Summary**
We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Canada. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of top-quality products. As a key contributor to our company's growth, you will help uphold our values of innovation and customer satisfaction, reporting directly to our Chief Operations Officer and General Manager. The Operations Manager is expected to monitor, direct, and oversee the day-to-day functions of three other team leaders who facilitate the production, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities (High-Level Overview)**
1. Production & Manufacturing Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily injection molding operations to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure optimal utilization of equipment, tooling, labor, and materials.
- Monitor machine uptime, cycle times, scrap rates, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues, downtime, and quality defects.
2. Order Management and Customer Support
- Manage customer orders, including receipt and review of purchase orders (POs), creation of internal work orders, and coordination with production planning to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries, receiving and processing POs, investigating and responding to customer complaints, and interacting with customers as required to resolve quality or delivery issues.
3. Leadership & People Management
- Develop and implement employee schedules across 3 shifts (Mako's production facility operates 24/7). Adapt and change these schedules depending on unforeseen developments and product needs. Ensure schedules are optimized for efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Support hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
4. Supply Chain, Inventory & Logistics
- Collaborate with the general manager and logistics to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging.
- Ensure plant, workstations, and inspection areas are kept clean, organized, and properly stocked with required supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels, material flow, and warehouse operations.
- Support production planning, forecasting, and customer order fulfillment.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of quality systems, inspection processes, and testing protocols.
- Support customer audits, internal audits, and corrective/preventive action programs.
- Promote a culture of “right-first-time” manufacturing and continuous quality improvement.
6. Tooling and Maintenance
- Coordinate mold maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and tooling readiness.
7. Health, Safety & Environmental
- Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture through training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
8. Continuous Improvement & Strategic Support
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, quality, and corporate leadership to align operations with business strategy.
9. Leadership Initiatives
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the C.O.O or General Manager in support of operational, quality, and business objectives.
