We are currently recruiting a full-time
- **Outside Facilities Maintenance Technician**
***at our
- ** Ancaster, Ontario** facility. Previous maintenance, handyman, and/or outdoor labor preferred. Applicants must be mandatory minimum age to work with cannabis in Canada (19 years old +)The Outside Facilities Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility and property as prescribed by the Maintenance Manager.**Work Schedule**:Day Shift
- **|** Full-time | Monday - Friday**Rate**: CAD $25.00/hour**Responsibilities**:

- Perform seasonal maintenance required on the property (i.e.. snow removal, property maintenance, etc.) to ensure the safety, integrity and appearance of the facility
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance and work alongside the other maintenance team members as required
- Operate motorized vehicles and equipment as required in a safe and conscientious manner
- Inspect the property on a regular basis and make recommendations for repairs and upgrades as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Oversee contractors as required
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Ensure that safety is prioritized, and all work is done with the utmost in safety consciousness.
- Adhere to company policies and standards for safety, cost control, waste reduction, quality, and complete and on-time delivery.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisor specifications, ensure the receiving documents are properly dispositioned
- Lubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris
- Inspect the property on a regular basis and make recommendations to management for repairs and upgrades as needed
- Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) methods and support CI efforts throughout the facility
- Ad-hoc support of the other Maintenance Team members throughout the facility

**Qualifications**:

- Possess a valid G driver’s license (DZ/AZ license an asset)
- Operate heavy outdoor equipment such as tractors, backhoes, plows, skid steers, etc.
- Extensive experience in the safe operation of motorized, outdoor equipment such as pumps, chainsaws, woodchippers, etc.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot problems and execute on the repairs
- Broad experience with hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

**Working Conditions**:

- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Hazards associated with conducting work outdoors
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

**Physical Requirements**:

- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 lbs.
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust
