**Description**

**The District Sales Manager will provide leadership, guidance and coaching to Kia Dealers in their assigned territory. In addition to being responsible and accountable for achievement of retail/wholesale sales objectives for vehicles, the DSM will be responsible for implementation of KCA initiatives, as directed by Regional Manager and for achieving various District objectives and KPI, as requested.
- Please note this position is in the Western region of Canada, specifically based out of British Columbia.
- **Responsibilities**

**- Assists Dealers with designing and implementing DMI’s, MMI’s, and other marketing strategies, including Co-op advertising.
- Acts as a consultant to the Dealer network. Communicates KCA corporate and business goals to Dealers. Supports Dealers with business goals through the analysis of Kia systems data, market research tools and reports. Evaluates & assists Dealer Sales Management team in executing “best practices” as it relates to vehicle sales & finance and Dealership long term growth. Coaches and assists Dealer in developing a comprehensive Marketing & Advertising plan based on Dealer demographics, competitive environment, and budget. Ensure Dealer sales staff professionalism & knowledge is ongoing through KIA University and training courses.
- Segmenting, organizing, and controlling Dealer ordering and inventories through market analysis, sound judgment, past performance, and future forecasts. Maximizes wholesale and Dealer understanding of turn and earn approach.
- Assists with creation and implementation of market initiatives designed to increase penetration, brand awareness and retail volume.
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of district’s weekly and month end sales estimates.
- Annually establishes sales plan with Dealers, utilizing sales targets prepared by RM in conjunction with KCA.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required**

**- 5 years direct automotive experience; preferably in sales and/or retail management and Fixed Operations management.
- University Degree in a related discipline preferred.
- Strong communications skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability for closure.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Must be willing to travel 80-90% of the working month.
- Possibility of overnight hotel stays and air travel depending on the placement location.
