**Program Manager, Electric Vehicle (EV) Solutions**

Annual salary: $ 103,900.00 - 131,400.00
**Position Highlights**
EV Service Delivery (EVSD) department:
The department is responsible for the growth and operation of BC Hydro’s EV charging network. Our mission is to delivery a
reliable and accessible EV charging service for the entire province, from the coast to the borders of the US, Alberta and
Yukon.
**What you'll do**
- The program Manager (PM), EV Solutions plays a key role in de-risking technology for the EV Service Delivery department.
- The EV charging industry is a relatively nascent market that is rapidly changing. Technology is one of the rapidly changing
- components of this new market.
- The PM will solicit business needs from other teams within the department and identify technology solutions and products
- that address these needs. They will execute projects and initiatives that will de-risk and enable the seamless integration of
- new technologies and products into the charging network. The work may involve collaboration with external entities such as
- academic institutions or industry associations. The PM will also conduct business cases to determine the financial impact or
- viability of the new technology or product.
- The PM may secure external funding to offset the cost of innovative projects if the opportunity arises.- organizational / functional teams. The cross functional team includes but is not limited to those in the Implementation
- Project Management Office, Legal Services, Fleet Services, Key Accounts Management, Asset Management, and
- Community Relations.
- de-risk new technologies and products for the department by evaluating risk level and implementing testing and piloting
procedures accordingly,- develop and implement technology innovation projects/pilots based on EVSD business drivers across all department
workstreams: Customer Experience, Site Development, Build (construction) and Operations,- evaluate the benefits or potential impacts of new technologies on BC Hydro’s EV charging business,
- collaborate with the broader EVSD team to identify technology innovation needs and implement, and
- act as business lead for procurement activities such as charging equipment RFPs
**What you bring**
- Education and Experience:
- A University degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered (electrical engineering background or technical expertise in direct current, EV charging
- stations is preferred).- 5 years progressive related experience in either: developing and implementing projects or programs, ideally for electric
vehicle infrastructure, energy efficiency or similar utility programs: project planning, stakeholder relationship management at
- senior levels of government and private sector, contract review and negotiations, confidence and maturity to uphold the
- objectives of the project against competing objectives from stakeholders.- Excellence in project delivery, strong knowledge of project management methodology; PMP designation would be
considered an asset.- Businesses skills should be complemented by demonstrable technical coordination and strong leadership and influencing
skills.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence people in other parts of the organization and external stakeholders.
- A skilled user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Superior oral and written communication skills; high emotional intelligence.
- Thrives in a team environment with cross functional team members, able to work with people with diverse backgrounds
and skill sets.- Is self-motivated and resourceful, capable of developing new processes and content based on business objectives and
few reference points.- Requires excellent oral, written and presentation skills for communication with a wide variety of internal and external
stakeholders as listed above.- Must possess excellent interpersonal, planning, negotiating and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills including risk assessment to provide decision recommendations.
