At Chabad Lifeline, individuals suffering from substance and behavioural addictions, and their family members, are guided by experienced and caring professionals through the process of healing and recovery.**

**JOB DESCRIPTION: Providing psychosocial counselling, support, and education to parents dealing with children 22 and under struggling with addictive behaviours and/or mental health issues. Support provided to parents is not limited to addiction and acute mental health issues, but can also address issues related to relationships, self-esteem, communication, boundaries, anger, stress management, etc.**

**Specific duties include**:
**- Initial intake, screening, and assessment of new clients**

**- Ongoing psychosocial support and counselling for existing clients, as well as identification of other members of the family in need of support**

**- Program development, including creation, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs for Parents and hybrid programs for parents and youth, including workshops and support groups**

**- Work in collaboration with the youth team**

**- Liaison and contact with schools, hospitals, community organizations, 12-step community, other clinical referrals**

**- Other duties as required**

**EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: BSW (with a minimum 5 years of work experience) or BA/B.Sc in related field or MSW or MA. Excellent clinical and organizational experience is required, as well as creativity, flexibility, and self-direction. Shows strong initiative and independent judgment, has the ability to multitask, with proven critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as having the ability to work well in a team environment.**
