JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of the organization's warehouse operations. This includes responsibilities ranging from receiving and inventory control to picking, loading, safety, and security. The incumbent will collaborate with third-party loading services to ensure accurate and timely shipments, while also planning, organizing, leading, and directing warehouse personnel activities.

RESPONSIBILIES

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:

- Ensuring employees adhere to policies, processes, and performance standards.
- Supporting the rollout of new processes, providing training support
- Training, supervising, and overseeing reporting personnel in designated areas.
- Maintaining targets, objectives, and goals throughout induction processes
- Implementing/supervising safe practices and ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Coordinating effective communications with internal and external clients
- Assisting in annual reviews for all warehouse associates
- Managing and controlling the yard, inbound and outbound flow
- Managing the shipping of all products to other Metro facilities
- Ensuring proper processes with a focus on identifying damages and ensuring stop dates
- Supervising all warehouse personnel, including hiring, scheduling, and development
- Overseeing all receiving activities to ensure on-time delivery and monitoring yard management.
- Supervising billing for all warehousing storage
- Supervising hours/payroll and all warehouse operations employees
- Ensuring the completion and sign-off of the end-of-day checklist
- Sending end-of-day reports to leadership up to the regional level after each shift
- Ensuring a proper handoff to the next shift supervisor
- Completing end-of-day checklists and reports
- Performing disciplinary actions when required

EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership position with a proven track record
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and leadership

EDUCATION
- College diploma in Business Management or 3+ years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain/Distribution/Transportation industries
